"I've kept my mouth shut about you for four years, watched you waste athletic talent most boys would kill for, flaunt your skills at Hoopfest or playing flag football games, and doing not one damn thing for your school." (Cruthcher 210)
This statement is stated by Morgan, the principal of Cutter High School. He is talking to T.J. The statement clearly shows that Morgan is angry at T.J. because he curses when he talks to T.J. Morgan is also disappointed when he talks to T.J. because T.J. wasted his superior athletic abilities on stupid events rather than playing for his school. If I was the principal of the Cutter High School, I would also be angry at him for not participating in a school sport and wasting his athletic skills. I infer that T.J. must be feeling very guilty after the conversation because he must have realized how stupid he was to not participate in a school sport.
