Increasing Popularity of Swimming Across America

   In Whale Talk , T.J. and his English teacher, Mr. Simet, are the top swimmers of Cutter High School. Since they are the top swimmers, they decide to form a swim team in Cutter High School since they are one of the few schools in their athletic division which doesn't have a swim team. While recruiting, they found out that many people were eager to join the swim team because swimming was gaining popularity across the region.

   This is perfect example of how swimming is gaining popularity across America. Many schools across the nation are forming swim teams to promote healthy living in a fun way. Also, more people are swimming just for fun because it is a fun and effective way to burn calories. I also like swimming because it is fun to move across the water.
